好久不见. 现在 Tennessee 啊. 500 公里都怎么走的? 会来 New England 吗?
美国的很多 Katydids 好象都在树顶, 我也没抓到过, 而且一起叫的时候真的是震耳欲聋.
等你的图片.
Just Google "Appalachian Trail",The Appalachian Trail runs from Georgia to Maine through some of the highest peaks of the Appalachian mountains. My original plan was to go all the way to Maine, but with some serious foot problems, I am way behind plan, maybe can only go as far as New York state.
This kind of katydid seems to mature first at the areas with lower elevations. I heard it first around July 1stat the Hot Springs campground at North Carolina(elevation 1400 feet). Two nights ago, when I stayed at the shelter just above the town of Erwin(elevation about 3000 feet), Tennessee, I heard a few, Last night, I stayed at the town of Erwin(elevation 1700 feet), there are so many of them.Despite their aboundance, catching one can be a real challenge. I'll test my luck again tonight. |
